(Past/Present) and (New Webpage)
HEY PEOPLE, due to pure laziness and sian-ness, I've yet to blog for about 2-3 months!!! Poly life have been extremely busy the past month (not until last week when my 2 months holiday started!), it is just crazy that 3-4 major assignments can be all due in one week, and almost everyone starts doing their assignment just the night before it is due (when the assignment is given one month in advance from the dure date!!!).
So far my results is average compared to my classmates ( below average perhaps), one topic which I never fail to fail is story telling, my lecturer gave me an F for the 1st of the 3 drafts I'm supposed to hand-in, It is really really demoralizing for me, knowing that I've tried my best, but yea, "people who tried their best, have not done their best". One other irritating topic for me is photography, it is not as easy and Idiot-prove as it sounds, It is extremely Demoralizing (had to use it) because I always thought that the pictures I take is good, but my ego tumbles the very moment I compare mine with the other pictures taken by my classmates. At least I passed the module. without merits.
One other think that I just found out which struck me is the jumbling of my class next semester. For those of you who scratched your head when I said jumbling, I meant to say that the poly mixes the people around every single semester, means I'll be in a different class every 6 months. While it may seem normal for some, I for feel extremely uneasy about the idea of swapping around. I'm a relationship person, I love to forge close relationships with the people around me, but this scheme is sorta stopping me from doing so. When It comes to friends, I'm an extremely picky person, it is not easy for me to get along with anyone, males or females. but yea, it is the poly's idea, can't change it.
Well, putting studies and negativity aside, It is finally my holidays!!! (again). I have not really plan on anything to do, have been on a few outings with my poly friends, other then that, I'm at home. I am usually locked in my room the whole day, playing my guitar for hours, surfing youtube for random videos and watching the latest movies (illegally) through the web.
One recent project which occupied most of my time is my personal webpage, It have been going on in my mind ever since I started to make videos in secondary 3, I really want to start an online portfolio for my future. I never thought that a webpage would be so hard to built, all the htmls and stuff, but I'm learning to built it one step at a time. I would like to thank my dad who kindly let me use his server for the webpage, but I had to pay him 20bucks for the domain I bought. Currently, my webpage is in the mist of construction, but the skeleton is out, I've got two cover's posted under "MUSIC" for testing purposes, do leave comments if you have any suggestions. My webpage would contain my photography portfolio, my past/present video projects, and my guitar covers (yes, I play the guitar....badly).
I'm currently waiting for a close friend, Nicholas, from TP, to complete his exams so he can help me with this project.
Without further ado, my webpage is: www.waynefilms.com
Finally, to all poly people, have a nice constructive, fruitful, delightful, fulfilling, enjoyable and pleasurable(sounds wrong...ok i'll stop).. holiday!
For the JC friends (all the best to your promos and end-year test), For the secondary school people, all the best for your Os and End-year exams!
Till next time, peace-out, wayne
(if you come across any spelling errors, "liek tihs", please notify me as I'm lazy to read through my post again, lol, thanks)

Another Post...
It's been a thousand years since I last posted one my blog... i've been facebook-ing alot... well, just went sentosa with kuanyi, rachel and iqbal a few days ago.... purpose of this... It is to test our new cameras we bought... particularly me and kuanyi haha. But school have been extremely busy, one project after another.... my holidays is packed with 3 projects... it is just very tough to juggle. Anyway.... the sentosa trip....It is a long time ever ssince I been to sentosa.... we went onto siloso beach to take some photos while iqbal eats his food.. Then we stopped by palawan beach.... over there, we went across a bridge to a mini-land known as the southern most point of asia. we took a few group photos there, and then went up a viewing tower... the view from up above is just priceless.... Me and kuanyi actually took a video of the entire sunset with our cameras movie function..... After about an hour or so of slacking and walking about the viewing towers, we went back to siloso beach to meet rahman, he was selling light sticks haha, rather cool to see a friend at his workplace... he displays a different less-nonsense personality,,,, haha..... Well, that was what we primarily did in sentosa.

Life is getting Busy
Hi again, I've not been posting much so far as life is getting extremely busy.
Monday: Had IS class and I have to write a reflection on Maternity Leave and Marriage. Weird topic as I have no idea on it. When home straight after class.
Wednesday: Story Telling class was, once again, great. Mrs Phuah Once again allowed us to eat our breakfast in class. After which, we had photography class. It was a waste of time as the teacher didn't really do anything such as practical.
Thursday: We ate at the alumni club after lunch again. It was rather filling.
Friday: Studio production was great. We were taught FM's cue as well as how to control the lightings. After class, we went t vivo city for lunch and to catch the movie. Me and Kuanyi pulled out of the movie due to the pricing and went around to source for our camera instead. We got a rather good deal in china town.

Boring Day...not so..
Well today is one of my worst day's ever. Firstly we have art and design which is so embarrassing as we were forced to draw and sketch out a figure, I am not so much of an artist so it was hard for me to figure it out. Well, my lecturer walked passed and say : "Well, wow your face certainly look like a sphere to me...", I asked myself: "now what about the body?" I drew a hulk-like figure which is in contrast with a feminine model we were supposed to draw. Anyway, I'm not the only one who was funny, one of my classmates drawing looked like power-rangers.
Then I had Introduction to film... I had to endure two hours of keeping my eyes open.... It was not the class or lecturer who was boring, I certainly think that it was my full lunch.
After that, I stayed back with Kenneth to do some work before I left for archery. Archery was painful, maybe I didn't hold the bow properly??? One thing bad about it was I didn't had the guard on, so the string would hit my forearm after releasing the arrow, and pulling the arrow back with 3 fingers was tough... So archery ended at 7.30 and I began my long Journey home. I reached home at 9.30pm and now here I am exhasted....
That was my day...... something to look forward to tomorrow..... STUDIO PRO!!
That was my day....

Story Telling is fun...Well photography is...
I am seriously in love with story-telling class, our lecturer is so humorous and fun-loving, the best part is, she doesn't have a humorous face, which makes it all even funnier when she tells a joke.
Photography class doesn't make it to my personal wall of fame for now, our lecturer gave each of us a SLR and gave us 1 hour to take 36 pictures, I thought it was simple at first, but I was not... Me and my friend (kuanyi) walked half the school just to take 12-20 out of our 36 pictures.... We had to rush last minute so we began snapping random things, like the roots of trees, my macbook charger (random) and one of my other classmate took a picture of my eye..... to show dominance wow ..... Anyway my class is totally united, I'm extremely happy...
Well, here are some pictures I took in school today:

My classroom
Went to school almost late today, I was looking so much forward to my studio production module although I wasn't expecting much other than a simple square room with one or two cameras.
The moment I entered the studio door, it wasn't just an empty square space, it was not what I expected. Three rooms, a video control room, an audio control room, and a studio connected by sound proof doors. I was taken aback when I saw number or switches and handles we were going to operate, yes it would be hard, but it was way cooler than I thought.
We were given about 1 hour to play with the equipments, my class ended up filming a short recording instead, they were having so much fun acting like interviewees. Then there was the real fun part where we were given directions to film a proper show.
There were two rehearsals and one recording, I volunteered to be one of the three camera operators for the project as I was soo curious on how these studio cameras operate, well it's pretty much the same as our conventional cameras, but a 100 times clearer, a 100 times more sensitive, a 100 times more harder to handle, and a 100 times more expensive. Our lecturer actually told us that the repair cost of a damaged lens is equal to our course fees.... wow.. about 1-2k ...
Well the shoot pretty much went well, we had fun playing while learning...

The studio control room..

The video mixer, it was hard to operate but easy to get used to..

The entire set up.. The studio is HD-Ready, but the camera's aren't HD, no funds...

The studio.... I heard that rain tree pictures have used this studio before...

The cameras... looks bulky... but it produces some quality that is out of this world...

The props and the lighting, .... we were allowed to set up our own props and use the things available in the props room... Our lecturer told us that there were about 200 lights hanging down from the ceiling, well, when he asked us to give a wild guess, I said 20.....

On air.. my classmates are awesome, they are able to be soo im-prompt when acting.. and some are really hilarious....
"Ready, 3 2 1, Take cam 1"..... some studio language...

The camera screen.... I am suspecting that the reason for the screens to be black and white is because it is easier for us to check if the camera is focus or not....

That's it, I'll post more in the week to come...

NPFMSFOC Camp
It's just weird that poly is so much different from secondary school; well, weird in a good way. I had to wake up at 6 am on the first day of camp just to travel down and camp starts at 9am, well, so much for living in pasir ris. Camp was pretty boring on the first day, other than movie screening of horror film 1408 and the super funky mass dance, we had some mass games and couldn't play outdoors for most of the day due to the lightning risk alert.
Second day was pretty awesome, we had the amazing race in the morning and most of us were high. Afternoon was pretty slack as they gave us a super long break to prepare for our performance item for the night. Then came the highlight of the day, the water bomb mania. It was pretty funny to watch the group leader plan for the water bomb fight, they were so serious and was strategising as though we were planning for real warfare. The fight actually did turn out quite bitter as some people from the other groups played dirty when they came to body slam a whole bunch of water bomb which belongs to us.
After the performance at night was dance, I joined the dance for awhile till I couldn't take the pounding music and decided to join some other people who were sitting at the open air balcony outside the roof. The last night sleep was annoying and fun 'cause there was a whole bunch of hippies who started to draw and "toothpaste" on the faces of the other people who were sleeping.
Third day was just clean up and dismissal. Well, overall camp was great, got more infused into poly life and met cool people there.
